Join us for the 27th Annual River Bend Historic Home Tour, featuring beautifully preserved homes in one of Des Moines’ most historic neighborhoods. This self-guided walking tour showcases architectural gems dating back to the 1870s, including the never-before-seen George P. Pearsall House.

Explore the rich history and diverse character that makes River Bend special while supporting our neighborhood association’s year-round community activities and improvements.

During the tour, you’ll have the chance to step inside some of the district’s most impressive homes and businesses. Witness the progress of ongoing renovations and restorations, and appreciate the work of renowned architects who have left their mark on our neighborhood. Whether you’re a longtime visitor or a first-time guest, we invite you to immerse yourself in the history and hospitality of River Bend.

The self-guided walking tour will run from 10 AM to 4 PM on both Saturday, September 20th, and Sunday, September 21st, rain or shine. Upon arrival, please collect your tour booklet from the ticket booth located at 1531 7th Street (across from Moulton Elementary). A courtesy shuttle service will be available during the tour; however, please note that it has limited capacity and may not be able to accommodate all visitors at all times.
